Barefoot College has finalized an agreement with Bishop Elias Taban, founder of the EPC organisation, to solar electrify 400 households in South Sudan, train 6 women in September in India as Barefoot Solar Engineers—and Establish the First Barefoot Vocational Regional Training Center in South Sudan. The Minister of Cabinet Affairs and all dignitaries flew to Yei for this historic occasion.
The Bishop gave a speech about the Clinton Global Initiative. It was extremely moving and we hope to share the recording on the website soon. It would not be possible to express in words, the hope, joy and support our joint collaboration has brought to the people in South Sudan and we at Barefoot College are inspired an honored to be a part of it.
