It takes a planet to fix one.
That’s pretty much why the global magazine, Impakter, exists. Recognizing the ambitious goals of 2015 UN SDG, Impakter provides meaningful content about the comprehensive global effort to make the world a sustainable, healthy home for every one.
More importantly, Impakter’s founders recognize the importance of connecting the Baby Boomer generation that is now moving into retirement and cause-related work, to the vast Millennial generation that is embarking on careers and causes of its own.

Without one generation engaging the other, the work of social impact falls short.

Look across the expanse of the star-filled sky. We stand on our miraculous blue/green sphere that stands alone in our known universe as home for human life.
But on this planet of ours, more than 1.4 billion people — one in five of every living, breathing person– lives on less than $1.25 a day. And leaders from all around the world have agreed, eliminating poverty is the single highest priority on planet Earth.
If we are serious about ending poverty, then we are serious about investment on a grand scale in the most untapped resource this planet knows: women.
For every dollar invested in a woman in the developing world, 86 cents go back to her family, for health, education and better food. These are the things we want her to invest in. For every dollar a man earns, his community investment is not even 36 cents. It doesn’t mean men aren’t a part of the equation, but it means we have to capitalize on what each can bring to do their very best.
